Top 5 Maps and Navigation Apps on Android in Hungary: Q3 2024

During the third quarter of 2024, the Maps and Navigation category on the Android platform in Hungary saw interesting trends among the top five apps, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic recorded a notable decline in weekly downloads, starting from around 5.8K at the beginning of July and falling to approximately 3.8K by the end of September. However, it maintained a strong presence in terms of weekly active users, starting the quarter with roughly 113K and ending with about 106K.

BudapestGO experienced a peak in weekly downloads in mid-August with about 4.7K, before stabilizing around 3.4K by the end of the quarter. Its weekly active users showed a slight increase, moving from approximately 71K to 70K over the same period.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw relatively stable weekly downloads, fluctuating between 2.5K and 2.9K. The app maintained a consistent number of weekly active users, hovering around 35K throughout the quarter.

Menetrendek.hu downloads experienced a spike in late August, reaching up to 3.2K, before returning to around 2.2K by the end of September. Meanwhile, its active user base showed a noticeable increase, starting at 52K and peaking at 58K in late August.

Uber - Request a ride presented a downward trend in downloads, beginning at 2.8K and dropping to 1.3K by the end of the quarter. Despite this, the app's active users increased, rising from 25K to over 31K.
